Making Lavender Laundry Soap

DIY Lavender Laundry Soap OOAM

I like the powder laundry detergent I blogged here but I was looking for a quick and easy liquid one that didn’t require soap grating. Once I discovered Dr. Bronners Almond castile soap I pretty much grab it for every cleaner I make now.

Once you buy the ingredients you’ll have a ton of it for other batches and as it makes so much it’ll cost you around $3 for two gallons or around 96 loads!

Making Lavender Laundry Soap

  • 3/4 cup castile soap
  • 1/2 cup washing soda
  • 1/2 cup borax or baking soda
  • Young Living Lavender Oil

  1. Take a 2 gallon bucket and pour lukewarm water in about an inch high.
  2. Add the dry powders and then cover with a little more watr if needed.
  3. Take an immersion blender or hand mixer and mix well.
  4. Fill the bucket up with tap water.
  5. Add the castile soap and stir with a long spoon.
  6. Add about 4 drops of oil (more if you want)
  7. Using a funnel transfer to an empty container.
